The Akron Mini Maker Faire will be Saturday, November 2, 1-4 pm, at Main Library, 60 S. High Street, in downtown Akron. This grassroots celebration of local innovation will feature projects – either complete or works in progress – which both showcase the exhibitor’s creativity and inspire the viewer to want to know more.
The first step to participating in the Akron Mini Maker Faire is to submit an application that tells us about yourself and your project. Applications can be submitted from individuals as well as from groups such as hobbyist clubs and schools. We especially encourage exhibits that are interactive and that highlight the process of making things.
What We’re Looking For
- Handmade or homemade projects made by individuals, clubs , school groups, or start-up companies
- Made projects or making processes that use new technologies or old technologies in new ways
- Interactivity for adults as well as kids –exhibitors must be willing to teach, share and demonstrate!
- Innovation, Creativity and Inventiveness – projects that will get a real “WOW!”
Since this is our very first Mini Maker Faire, we will have limited number of spots available. So, click on the” Makers Apply Here” button in the right corner and submit your application today.
